Edwin Cruz
I began my journey as a Behavior Technician in 2003. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology in 2007 and my Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2012. I then obtain the Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA) certification in 2015. Continuing my love for education, I earned a certification in Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) in 2020. Being of Latino descent, I have always strived to work with the Spanish speaking community to empower and support families and their children. Language barriers can hinder their ability to learn about how ABA services can have a positive impact on their lives and so I have made it my journey to support the underserved communities.
Vida for Autism understands the importance of intensive intervention for individuals diagnosed with Autism or other developmental delays. We have seen firsthand the impact that Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) creates in the lives of the individual and family members. This is why we care about the quality of ABA services. Vida for Autism uses evidence-based intervention and treatment programs that are developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) based on assessments, consultation, and person-centered plans. These are individualized goals to meet cognitive, social, and behavioral deficits. ABA services are provided in the home, community, and school settings to ensure generalization of skills in the individuals’ natural environment. In addition, we provide behavioral consultation and Positive Behavior Support (PBS) training to parents, caregivers, community partners, and other professionals working in the human services and medical field. Our services also provide access to community integration through many of the California Regional Centers and other disability services. Mission Statement
Vida for Autism’s mission is simple; we care for others and the services we provide in order to create a dedicated team committed to compassionate care. We collaborate with the clients’ family and other providers to create an effective treatment that generalizes across the client’s home, school, and their community.
